The flying knee KO is one of the most exciting moments in Mixed Martial Arts. It comes from nowhere and in the blink of an eye it changes the whole fight. Here are the top 5 knockouts or flying knees that led to stoppages.
5. Terry Martin vs James Irvin- UFC 54
4. Gesias "JZ" Cavalcante vs Hiroyuki Takaya- K1 Hero's 6
3. Anderson Silva vs Carlos Newton- Pride 25- Start Video at the 2 minute mark.
2. Robbie Lawler vs Joey Villasenor- Pride 32
1. Marius Zaromskis vs Ross Mason- Cage Rage 22- This whole fight is amazing, but if you just want the brutal Flying Knee ending skip to the 15:55 mark.

the flying knee by kid yamamoto against miyata in k-1 should've been in the top 5......
wtf, BJ v Sherk!
i'm guessing you you tubed "flying knee" and made your list off top 5 search results.
I also say Spencer Fisher's KO of Matt Wiman should also be on this list, but I don't think there is an online video of it. Wiman face planted immediately, and it was also a good fight.
Thiago Alves flying knee was amazing. You don't even realize how good it is unless you see it in slow mo.Alves switches knees in mid air, Matt hughes was going to block one knee and Alves switches and get the KO.
The Wiman/Fisher KO was amazing because of the way spencer just walked away knowing it was over I loved that part. Plus Wiman just started show boating right before that.
yeah these were good ko's, but the list could have been more refined. Irvin is on there, but not Arlovski vs Rothwell?? it's not a clean knockout, but it is a better example of a flying knee
BJ vs Sherk and Fisher vs Wiman are both glaring omissions.
Silva vs Newton doesn't deserve a place - Newton leans right into the knee and Silva barely has to lift his leg. My grandma could have done that.
I agree with the first comment. Kid Yamamoto KO'ing Miyata in K-1 definitely deserves a spot in the Top 5 knee KOs.
