Michael Bisping and Dan Henderson to be Coaches for "The Ultimate Fighter 9"

The Sun is reporting that the most likely coaches for the next season of "The Ultimate Fighter: Team USA vs. Team UK", will be middleweight contenders Michael Bisping and Dan Henderson. Bisping, the UFC's popular British star, will have to beat Chris Leben at UFC 89 first.

The UFC have not yet offered Bisping the coach's role on TUF 9 because he is scheduled to fight Chris Leben at UFC 89 at the Birmingham National Indoor Arena on October 18.

But SunSport understands Dana White will immediately hand the British star a contract to appear on the show if he overcomes Leben next month.

It is believed Dan Henderson will coach the US team, with the TUF 9 finale featuring him in a clash for the No1 middleweight contender's spot against Bisping, which could take place in December next year.

If this comes to fruition then whoever wins the finale fight would probably get a shot at Middleweight champ Anderson Silva, but of course alot can happen and this is a long ways away.

that would be cool. dont really want to see a hendo rematch with silva. but honestly maia or even thales vs goran winner would be interesting. i want to see hendo vs nate marq. bisping is impressive at this weight class..

hopefully alessio wins more fights.

Guh. Bisping? Seriously? I find him so bland as a fighter. I guess they're assuming he'll win against Leben...

At least they're not tying up one of the champions this time.

g-off, bisping will crush leben, mark my words

still, don't really know what to think of this idea though... december next year? so both those fighters might only get 1 fight in a year? what if one of them loses before the show? etc etc

bahaha i find it funny that nobody is giving patrick cote a chance against anderson silva... nobody mentioned what happens if a. silva loses!

anything could happen, he (silva) is undisputedly the most talented mma fighter, but anything could happen.

Leben is going to knock his ass out. They'll probably still make Bisping a coach because the theme is US vs. UK... who else are they going to get to coach the team?

I'm going to laugh when Bisbing accidentally pushes Leben's "Button"

Bisping and Henderson sounds like a really bad idea since Henderson hasn't had much success in the UFC 1-2 while Bisping (previous TUFer) isn't exactly that well liked. I would rather see someone from Greg Jackson's Camp like Nate Marquardt. Hell just bring in Greg Jackson. I don't care if he fights in the finale or not.

ok never been fighter?apparentely ur not an mma fan and just go for names, bisping was cage rage champ and is running threw since he moved down in weight and dan hendo jus came off a decision against a very good submission guy so what are u retarted bro?

A never been is usually referred to as an upincoming fighter. Every fighter you see today was at one point a nobody, idiot. And a has been fighter? MMA has the most fickle fans in the world. And you can hate on the UFC and call bullshit all you want, it's the premiere MMA promotion and you know it and I know it that you'll be glued to the TV whenever anything they put on is on. Appreciate it and shut the fuck up

The whole USA vs UK thing is going to be so unbalanced.
The USA fighters will be so much better.
The sport gets such a bigger exposure in the states compared to here. The UK fighters will be shite.

Like someone else said, Bisping was Cage Rage champion, and besides the Hamill judge's blunder, is undefeated. Hendo was the owner of two belts in two weight divisions just last year, loses a close decision to Rampage and loses to arguably the best p4p fighter in the world in Silva. How is losing a close decision and losing to the #1 ranked guy in the world make you a has been? Both were championship bouts and he won his last fight. You're a complete moron.

Leben i think is a pile of Sh%t,Bispin will ruin him,I feel Henderson will dominate bispin though just with his wrestling ability, he coul not fight when he was in TUF and i feel the same now, he just has a big bullock head to smash on

There is about 3 really smart people in here and abunch of assholes whoever said he will get wrestled all over the show is in lala land. I think rashad is just as good a wrestler as hendo and bisping coped ok with him. Also Hendo is a top guy not a has been look at his record now and tell me any differen't. As far as the ufc bullshit is concearned tell me one card in the last 2 years that has been a complete let down. Might take you a while but ill wait. And DavidH so much for Leben knocking bisping out even with a banned subsatnce in his system>

Bisping is a legend
