Fedor Emelianenko's Open Letter to Dana White

Letter.

Fedor Emelianenko on Dana White's statements and Randy ‘The Natural’ Couture

Numerous times have I read mister White’s statements on Internet concerning myself. In my opinion, allowing yourself to say those things is not a sign of a gentleman or a grown man at all! If he candidly wants to prove himself right then let my fight with Randy happen or let me face the reigning UFC champion Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira. In the future I wouldn’t want to hear those unfounded statements in my address ever again.

My last fight in Japan proved that I’m ready to fight anybody with any size advantage, skillset or experience. I have fought and still wish to fight the best athletes. The Randy fight is my goal number one right now, he’s a great fighter and this is a very unfortunate situation when too strict and one-sided UFC contracts don’t let this fight happen.

The whole world is eager to see me fight your champions instead of listening to your press-conferences. I’m signed with M-1 Global and this promotion is ready to organize such fights under our banner or in co-promoted events.

In the verbal UFC, Fedor just GnP'd Dana's face.

Fedor: 1
Dana: 0

Dana White is a true a$$hole - granted he has worked hard to bring MMA where it is today..but dont screw the fans and most of all the fighters.

I am really getting tired of the greedy UFC antics, Dana is making a killing and he isn't prepared to channel the money in such a way that will be best for MMA as a sport and its fans in general - instead all it comes down to is the bottom line for Zuffa LLC.

Pay the fighters what they deserve, and negotiate with other organizations to make the fights we want to see possible. If UFC doesn't make this happen then another organization will come along and will make it a reality thus shutting the UFC out of the bigger players.

It's survival of the fittest in the business world, it's only a matter of time until the UFC get what they are asking for if they keep this up.

I agree 100%...I think all MMA fans are sick of like you said...greedy UFC antics. I love the UFC, more than the other MMA organizations...but it's like Brock Lesnar said, most people think "Ultimate Fighting" when you say MMA. UFC has the stranglehold on the MMA world. For the sake of the sport they should let Randy and Fedor fight.

they should do like a world championship every so often. the best in weight in the UFC vs. the best in weight in M1. That would be kick a$$.

The Dana White/Zuffa greed will be their eventual unravelling...if they don't wise up and change course. Read any book on business longevity (i.e. Good to Great or Built to Last) and you'll find that if you don't change with the times...you'll be left behind.

They have done a fantastic job of mainstreaming the sport...now it's time for the next phase. I would dub this phase the "True Champions" phase. It's time to work in a form of collaboration versus competition with co-promotions or as one poster suggested a "World Series" of MMA. Every great sport has some system of declaring an annual Champion...plus that's good for TV! (Dana, that was the sentence you care about) And it would be great for the fighters and the fans (Dana, don't waste your time with that last sentence...it obviously means nothing to you)

thats such bull, the UFC has become the largest MMA franchise specifically because it isn't bullied around by assholes both inside and out of the ring. Not only assholes like Ortiz, but also the assholes in boxing promotion and on capitol hill.

and as far his Fedor's last fight is concerned, the dude had fought once before, not exactly a seasoned competitor.

bottom line: fedor is quickly becoming a nobody by fighting these have wit losers over in M-1 and randy is not far behind, bailing on a perfectly legal contract jsut because hes not getting the fight he wants

what did he mean by
stricted one sided contract ?

Dana White WILL be the biggest Dissapointment in MMA history! Each month he neglects to let it happen HE IS CHEATING THE FANS AND COUTURE BECAUSE COUTURE IS AGING AND THE MORE TIME DANA WASTES, THE MORE TIME COUTURES CHANCES OF WINNING DECREASES AND HIS FULL POTENTIAL SLOWLY FADES THEREFORE NOT ALLOWING A TRUE FIGHT AND A LEVEL OF CLASH THAT CAN ONLY BE EXPRESSED BY THESE TWO FIGHTERS.

WE ALL WONDERED WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF JET LI AND JACKY CHAN FOUGHT BUT AN EVEN BIGGER WONDER IN THE NEAR NEAR NEAR FUTURE IS COMMING AND THATZ...HMMN I WONDER IF RANDY, AN AMERICAN HERO FIGURE, FOUGHT THE RESPECTED RUSSIAN HERO???

~~~WhAt WoUlD HaVe HaPpEnEd???~~~~.
Face it Dana is a corp pig, so don't expect this fight to happen unless pissed off MMA fans speak out and realyze Dana is RAPING the MMA industry, and smyling while HOLDING A GUN straight to the head yelling MY WAY OR NO WAY.
Yea be pissed off. Because if you are all about MMA... YOU ARE CURRENTLY BEING CHEATED.
SPEAK OUT!
I think that the letter show true class on Fedor's part...he is a class act though! I personally don't know if he is truely the number one heavyweight in the WORLD though...I mean I would like to see him against some tougher opponents. Dana failed at signing him, but it seemed the biggest reason he wanted him was for Randy...
